Time to shine: how to build your brand online

Picture
Building your brand online can be a big task. It takes time and it takes patience to build an organic following. Buying followers isn't going to get the clients walking in the front door, but doing the hard work of creating engaging content, have a consistent presence and the personal touch to your content will go a long way.

No one ever said building your brand online would be easy. You need to make sure you are connecting with everyone in a personal way even though it is such an impersonal approach. Sharing your business with private groups, buying ad space and creating a bond with those who "like, share and comment" are your key ingredients. Not to mention that word of mouth is the best and easiest way to get people talking about your business. There is no shame in asking your clients to give you a shout out online to their friends while tagging you in the process. If your current clients are getting great service, they should have absolutely no problems sharing it with their social following.

Our world of communication, marketing/advertising and the needs of our clients are changing. You need to grow with that or you won't succeed online. Having an Online Business Manager will help you with that. Get all the details out there in the social media world, making sure you are consistently seen online, sharing stories or tagging others, participating in around the world movements and raising awareness... So many things that you/we can do to build your business online.

It's your time to shine! Get out there and make it happen.

Create a memorable marketing plan

Picture
Marketing plans can often change depending on what is happening in the world around us. Our communication tone changes, our focus gets more detailed, we follow movements and raise awareness for things that just 'happen' in the world. So having the space to move and grow your marketing plan as you go through your year will only benefit you in the end.

However, you do need to have a plan so you can keep your team organized and on track for your budget. It's okay to have some extra funds sitting in the corner in your marketing budget, not every dollar needs to be allocated. Have the space so you can spend on the last minute marketing opportunities. Don't forget to be current with where you are putting your marketing dollars, what worked the last couple years may not work again this year and that is okay. Grow with the times you won't regret it.
